BIO

 

Ryan grew up the son of a drag racer turned race car builder (John’s Racecraft), A life time resident of Roslindale, Massacusetts, 24 year old Ryan spent many weekends at near by New England Dragway enjoying his father’s hobby with him.  In 2004 a family friend hired Ryan’s dad to restore his late dad’s ’62 Corvette Super Street car with the agreement that Ryan would race it…and he was off to the races.  Ryan has visited the Winner’s Circle many times since then.  More then just an accomplished drag racer, Ryan graduated with a 3.75 GPA from John D O’Bryant School of Math and Science in 2003.  He went on to receive a Merit Scholarship and Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology.  He is now an engineer for Barletta Engineering.  Ryan also excelled in the sport of Basketball, coaching a youth league and as a member of the ’08 Champion Hyde Park Men’s League.

 

Ryan has continued his success in NHRA Pro Stock, qualifying at his first career Pro Stock race as well as at eight of the nine events he attended in 2009.  He earned his first career round win at the US Nationals against Vinnie Deceglie.  Ryan has a career best E.T. of 6.605 and a career best speed of 208.91 MPH.

*  2009: Qualified 14th at first career Pro Stock race, in Chicago; Qualified 8th at the U.S. Nationals and scored first Pro Stock round-win; Multiple event wins in Top Sportsman (Atco, N.J.; Gainesville; Epping, N.H.);  New England Dragway Top Sportsman Series Championship.

*  2008: Two-time Division 1 NHRA PC Richard and Sons Super Gas National Open champion; Finished third in the NHRA Division 1 Top Dragster Series

*  2007: Won Division 1 PC Richard and Sons Super Gas National Open championship

*  2006: Received NHRA Image of Youth Award for and up and coming second-generation driver

*  2005: Earned his first drag racing win in Super Street at the Lucas Oil Divisional in Lebanon Valley, N.Y.
